The event will be an 18-hole stroke play tournament, featuring six (6) players from each of our 10 program locations around the state. The boy and girl who shoot the lowest scores will be named the Individual Chapter Champions for the year.

The cumulative scores of all six individuals will make up the team score for their program location. The program location with the lowest score will be named our Team Chapter Champion for the year.

Each program location will field a team of six players, including a minimum of two female competitors. Teams will be selected by each program location’s Lead Coaches.  The Lead Coaches will be empowered to identify their own selection criteria; however, it should be primarily based on an objective measure of golf skill and the players’ ability to shoot the lowest scores. All ages are eligible, as we are looking to identify the most highly skilled golfers, regardless of age.

Program locations may hold qualifiers, skills competitions, or use other means of identifying their players. Other criteria such as First Tee class attendance or longevity in the program may be factored in at the coaches’ discretion if needed.

Additionally, if a given program location cannot field a full team from their local participants, then they will be allowed to supplement their squad with players who did not qualify for another location’s team.

To be eligible for the 2024 Chapter Championship, participants must be between the ages of 7-18, and must have attended First Tee classes during the Winter, Spring, or Summer of 2024, or the Fall of 2023.
